Roots of a tree in Singapore

I remember looking at the exposed roots of a tree in Diary Farm Nature Park and it occurred to me how often we love looking up at trees but beneath the tree and its form lies the support, the network of roots that draws upwards. It reminded me of my roots, what am I drawing in and how I am supported? Rootedness isn’t just a concept, it’s the essence of every being.
